Challenge

The challenge was to construct a new 64-private room patient tower and 16-room pediatric emergency department attached to an active medical center. In addition, following the completion of the new patient tower, renovation was needed on existing patient rooms, operating rooms and intravascular labs that were adjacent to the active spaces.

Success

Northstar led the Executive Management Team in developing strategic facilities priorities that met the future needs, goals, and objectives of the hospital. In order to provide best value to the project, Northstar facilitated the construction of mock up rooms to assist in the design process and allow end user input. This project accomplished the goal of providing a new high-tech facility and image for the medical center, while completing the four-year, $123 million project on time and under budget.
