Challenge

Upon completion of the initial design, this project experienced a two-year hold prior to construction. Extensive research was necessary to assure that the project design was in compliance with current (and changing) hospital building codes and standards. In addition, many directors initially involved with the project had relocated, prompting a thorough operational review of each department's layout and adjacency.

Success

Northstar assisted with facilitating scope reviews with all stakeholders. In addition, a transition plan was developed that ensured operational needs were addressed and the number of changes due to operational turnover was minimized.
