When Denise joined the Northstar team in 2011, she brought with her over 13 years of Total Industry experience in the architectural field. She has assumed many different roles while working on a variety of projects. In her role as Project Manager, she is responsible for overall project budget and schedule tracking, construction administration, coordination of Owner direct purchases, occupancy, relocation planning, and project close-out. As Healthcare project designer, Denise is responsible for equipment drawings, layout, validating physical performance criteria, quality assurance, and securing up-to-date equipment information.
Denise's recent projects include equipment planning for St. Elizabgeth's Replacement Hospital in Belleville, IL, project management/equipment planning for Mercy Health Jefferson three-story New Patient Tower, transitional operations planning for St. Mary's Health Center Replacement Hospital in Jefferson City, MO, design studies for a new natatorium and stadium at MICDS, and the Mercy Walden Component Hospital project in Joplin, MO. This project was in response to the Cat-5 tornado which struck Joplin, MO in 2011, virtually destroying the existing hospital and surrounding support buildings.
Denise earned her Bachelor of Architectural Studies at the University of Kansas — Lawrence. She is proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and AccuRender and recently earned the 10 hour certification for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
